The Tony Lucas Research Grant sits within the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation (formerly Cure For Life Foundation) to fund medical research for a cure for brain cancer. To date we have raised over $500,000 and the money is being put into the Cure Brain Cancer Foundations new collaborative research effort hoping to accelerate a cure for brain cancer within 10 years. Tony was so passionate about the need to find a cure for himself and other sufferers he spent much of his last two years trying to support Cure for Life. My brother was a school and uni mate of your dad’s so he told me of your family’s sad journey over the last few years. I work as a clown doctor in three major Sydney hospitals and at the children’s hospice Bear Cottage in Manly. I have seen too many young children die of this terrible disease. I applaud your initiative and will spread the word. What a beautiful way to honour your father’s life.

As a family member of Audrey Rose Myrden, I also applaud your initiative to spread the word about this dreaded disease….The Myrden family, Barry, Charlie, JHack, Declan and I did the manly walk. We ourselves lost Audrey Rose just less than a month ago and she was a great avocate for Brain Cancer Research. She too is watching

Your doing a great thing by making people aware of this terrible illness and your family should be very proud.I lost my dad earlier this year to lung cancer that’s where it started anyway and finally ended up in the brain.My wife and i travelled from syney’s west today to be there and would not have missed it and we will be back next year thank you again for a great day .

Thankyou for finding the time to talk to my hubby and I as I know you were so busy.He thought it was wonderful and hopes the money does find answers with research as he hopes no one else has to travel the road we have. My husband was diagnosed with grade4 brain cancer on July 6and died on September 24 2014.
His care was exceptional but still cant believe he really had no idea he was dying due to his confusion.
Why are there different fund raises for brain cancer. Breast cancer seems to have the McGrath Foundation which I applaud but brain cancer seems to be the poor cousin along with mental health.
